Facebook, Inc. is a multinational technology company. Facebook, whatapp, telegram and Instagram users reported that they couldn’t access the social-media platforms partially nearly six hours after those, along with WhatsApp, Instagram, telegram, went down late on Monday night as a suspected global outage and technical failure disrupted their services. The platforms, owned by Facebook, experienced outages around 9 pm to 1 am (India time) and millions of users complained that fresh messages were not being loaded.

Facebook said that engineers determined the problem originated with a networking issue that interrupted communications between its data centers.
Facebook said in an official blog post that the six-hour outage across its platforms including Instagram, Messenger and Whatsapp were caused by configuration changes to its routers which coordinate network traffic between the company’s data centers.
